note on Transcript by Anthony Auerbach

This apparatus inscribes, edits and arranges the questions and reports produced in the course of Inspecting the Inspectorate, a public briefing held in Berlin (with INS General Secretary Tom McCarthy, external assessor Inke Arns and fieldworkers Anthony Auerbach and Melissa McCarthy). The aim is to apply a diagrammatic logic to mapping the parallels and crossings which emerged in the discussion on 28 May 2005. Transcipt comprises words taken down from speech, images, operators and their arrangement. Photographs of the work in progress and text details are provided.
