As the last of a series of live events anticipating the ‘Altermodern’ — the 2009 Tate Triennial curated by Nicolas Bourriaud — Tate Britain welcomes INS General Secretary Tom McCarthy and INS Chief Philosopher Simon Critchley to deliver the INS Joint Statement on Inauthenticity. With a compelling critique of the notion of authenticity in art, literature, philosophy and politics, the Tate Declaration advances inauthenticity as one of the central tenets of INS thinking .
